Doug Cox, Author
Doug Cox is an educator, author and freelance historian. He and his wife, Joyce, have three grown children, and live on a small farm in the City of Penticton. The farm was home to a variety of exotic animals including ostriches, but is now converted to wine grapes.
Doug enjoys sitting down with an old timer, with a pot of coffee or tea, and getting our exciting heritage first hand. He has published 13 history books on the Okanagan and Similkameen and the ranching heritage of British Columbia. He has been collecting stories and photos for over 40 years.
He has a computer in his studio loaded with sophisticated word processing programs; however, Doug also has a working blacksmith shop down by the barn, just to keep in touch with reality.
An extensive Okanagan photo collection is available at www.oldphotos.ca.
